If you’ve ever tried to find a place in Budhwar Peth, you know how confusing the lanes can be. We are located at 1123 near Tulshibaug, specifically in the SM Paranjae Lane near Babugenu Chowk. It’s a very old part of Pune, and it feels like it too. The streets are narrow and always full of people shopping for everything from clothes to kitchen stuff. It gets very loud and dusty during the day. Our office is in one of those older structures that has seen a lot of years. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't local, but we like being in the middle of all that history. Finding parking for a car is basically impossible, so we all just come on our scooters or walk from the main road. The stairs in the building are steep and a bit uneven. Inside, we have a small space filled with ledgers and old furniture. It’s not modern or sleek at all. We have a small window that looks out onto the lane, and we can hear the street vendors calling out all afternoon. It’s a bit distracting but also keeps us awake. We’ve been in this Babugenu Chowk area for a long time, so we know all the other shopkeepers around. It’s a busy, cramped, and noisy life here, but it’s where we do what we do every single day.
