Down here in Chinchwad, things move pretty fast. Our place, Hiq Hygiene Products Pvt Ltd, is located at number 152 on A K Road. It is an industrial kind of area, so there is always the sound of machinery and trucks in the background. We spend most of our hours thinking about hygiene products. It’s not glamorous work, but it is necessary. The floors are kept as clean as we can manage, given all the activity. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for a long time. They know the machines better than anyone. A K Road can be a bit dusty, especially when there is construction going on nearby, which seems to be always. We don't have a fancy showroom or a big marketing team. Most of our day is spent checking the stock and making sure the orders are ready to go out. Sometimes the tea lady comes around and that’s the highlight of the afternoon. We sit in the small break area and talk about the local news or the weather. It is a straightforward business. We make the products, we pack them, and we send them out. There are no big speeches or complicated goals here. We just try to do a solid job every day and keep the factory running smoothly so everyone can go home on time. It is just honest work for us on this road.
