Gypsy Caterers

We are located at Parvati Heights in Dahanukar Colony, right behind the Kothrud bus stand. Being so close to the bus stand means there is always noise and people around, but we are used to it by now. Gypsy Caterers is basically a family effort. We started out making food for neighbors and then it just grew into a real business. We handle a lot of small functions in Kothrud and the nearby areas of Pune. Our kitchen isn't very big, so we have to be very organized with our pots and pans. Sometimes the delivery van gets stuck in that 411029 traffic, which is frustrating, but we try to plan for it. We don't really do the fancy flower decorations or anything like that. We just focus on the cooking. My aunt does most of the spice mixing because she has the best sense for it. It feels like we are always cleaning something or chopping onions. We don't have a big office with a secretary. If you call, you probably just talk to me or my brother. We use traditional recipes that we’ve known forever. It’s not a polished corporate thing, just us working hard to get the food delivered on time for someone's wedding or birthday party. The work is tiring but it keeps the family together. We just do our best with what we have here.
