Gupte Foods

Down in Gultekdi, off Pune Nagar Road at 73/ 9, you’ll find our place, Gupte Foods. We’ve been operating out of this spot for quite some time now. It’s a bit of a tucked-away location, but the locals know where we are. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the daily grind of food preparation. It’s not always easy, especially when the weather gets hot or when we have a big batch of stuff to get through, but we manage. The building at 73/ 9 isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but inside we are always doing something. Whether it’s sorting through ingredients or packing things up, there is rarely a quiet moment. We aren't trying to be the biggest name in Pune; we just want to keep the kitchen running and make sure the food is decent. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected, which can be a bit of a headache, but that’s just how it goes with a small operation. Most of the people who work here live close by, so it feels like a neighborhood thing. We don’t have a big team or a corporate office. It’s just us, some stoves, and a lot of containers. We’ve seen the road outside get much noisier over the years, but inside the shop, the work stays the same.
