Great Punjabi Restaurant

Our little shop is number 5 in the Ghanshyam Park society on Dhole Patil Road. It’s a busy corner near TCI House. We’ve been serving Punjabi food here for quite a while now. It’s not a huge space, just a typical Pune restaurant where people pop in for a quick bite. We see a lot of office workers during the day because there are so many businesses around here. They usually want something fast and filling so they can get back to work. In the evenings, it changes a bit and we get more people taking food home to their families. The kitchen is always humming with the sound of tandoors being fired up. We don't have fancy interiors or anything like that. It’s just wooden tables and the smell of spices in the air. We focus on the basics. Making sure the dal is right and the rotis are soft is what takes up most of our time. We aren't trying to be a five-star hotel. We just want to be the place where you can get a decent meal without spending too much money. Managing a restaurant in this area can be hectic with the parking and the traffic, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We know the neighbors and the delivery guys who hang around the park. It’s a simple life running Great Punjabi Restaurant. We just show up every morning and get the stove going for the day.
