Golden Foods

Golden Foods is based out of Camp Nagdevi 75. It’s a small operation, tucked away in a part of the city that stays pretty busy. We don’t have a big storefront with flashing lights; it’s more of a functional space where we get the work done. Most of our time is spent prepping and packing. The kitchen area is where the heart of the business is, and it’s usually humming with noise. It’s not always perfectly tidy, especially when we’re in the middle of a big batch, but we do our best. We’ve been at Nagdevi 75 for some time now, and we’ve gotten used to the sounds of the street outside. We don’t have any formal mission statements or anything like that. We just show up and make food. It’s a lot of early mornings and late nights, especially when there’s a lot of demand. We don’t use any complicated machinery, mostly just the basics that we’ve had for years. The staff is just a few local people who know the routine. We have our good days and our bad days, just like any other place. Sometimes the oven acts up or we run out of a certain ingredient, and we just have to make do. It’s an honest way to spend the day, and we’re happy to be doing it here in the neighborhood.
