Gagangiri Foods

Our place, Gagangiri Foods, is situated at 1551 Chikhali Road in the Shelar Wasti area. We are tucked away behind Trans Industrial, so it can be a little tricky to find if you aren't looking for the turn-off. The building is a simple structure that stays relatively cool even when the sun is beating down on the road outside. Inside, there is usually the faint scent of whatever we are processing that day. We have several large tables and some machinery that takes up most of the floor space. It is a very hands-on environment where we spend our time measuring, weighing, and packing things into bags. We often have trucks backing up to the entrance to drop off raw materials or pick up the finished crates. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we all know each other well and talk about our families while we work. We don't have a big office; just a small desk near the loading dock where we keep track of the inventory. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit and we just wait it out while sitting on the steps. It’s a steady rhythm of work that doesn't change much from season to season. We take pride in the fact that we stay busy and keep the shelves moving. The Chikhali Road is always dusty, but we try to keep the inside of our facility as clean as possible for the food.
