This office of G D Apte Co Chartered Accountants is located at 163 Shobhanagar Society in Pune. It is a bit different from our other locations because Shobhanagar is a very specific kind of neighborhood. It feels very established and traditional. The office itself is filled with the kind of things you would expect from accountants. There are piles of ledgers, tax forms, and old audit reports everywhere. We have a few big wooden tables where we spread out the paperwork. It is a Maharashtra-based firm through and through. The atmosphere here is usually quite serious, especially when deadlines are approaching. You can hear the sound of calculators clicking and the occasional heavy sigh when someone finds a mistake in a column. We don't have a fancy lounge for visitors. If someone comes to see us, they usually just sit on one of the spare chairs near the main desk. The windows look out onto the society grounds, which is a nice change from looking at a brick wall. We have been here for a good while, and the routine hasn't changed much over the years. We arrive in the morning, make some coffee, and start going through the files.
