This is C D Upasani Co. We operate out of Flat No 40 in the Tirupati Apartment. It’s at 20 3 1 A in Balaji Nagar, Dhankawadi. Being a chartered accountant firm in a residential building means it stays relatively quiet, which is good for looking at numbers all day. Pune is a big, busy place, but this corner of it feels a bit more relaxed than the city center. We handle a lot of tax filings, audits, and general accounting for people around Maharashtra. It’s mostly paper files and spreadsheets from morning till night. The office is basically a few rooms filled with cabinets and desks. We’ve been doing this for quite some time now, so we have a rhythm to our work. We don’t have a big neon sign outside to attract people. Most clients come to us because they’ve known us for years or someone they trust told them about our work. We sit down with people and go through their receipts and bank statements. It’s a lot of detail work and checking things twice. Sometimes it gets a bit stressful around the tax season, and we end up staying late into the night. We don’t try to act like a huge firm. We’re just local accountants helping out people with their taxes. We like being in Dhankawadi because it’s easy for our regulars to drop off their folders and documents whenever they need to.
