We started Foodsmiths over here on Synagogue Street. It’s right near Geeta Society, across from Eddies Kitchen in the Camp area. Mostly we just focus on making food that people want to eat every day. It is not fancy or anything. Just a regular kitchen where we spend most of our time. We have been at this spot for a while now. Some days are busier than others. Usually, you will find someone in the back prepping vegetables or cleaning up. We try to keep things simple. If you are walking around Camp, you have probably seen our sign near the corner. It gets pretty crowded around here during lunch, but that is just how the neighborhood is. We do not really do much advertising. People just find us by walking by or hearing about us from a neighbor. The street can get noisy with all the traffic near Eddies Kitchen. We have got a routine down now. It is hard work, but it is what we do. We like being part of the local scene here. It feels right being tucked away near Geeta Society. Sometimes we run out of things early, but we just start fresh the next morning. There is not a big story behind it, just a lot of cooking and making sure the kitchen stays running. We keep our space tidy and just get on with the day's tasks. It is a small place, nothing too big, but it fits us well. We just keep our heads down and cook.
