We are located over on Viman Nagar, specifically on Pune Satara Road 11. It’s a spot where people come when they are hungry and just want something straightforward to eat. I started Foodies because I liked being around the kitchen. It’s not a fancy restaurant with white tablecloths or anything like that. We have basic tables and chairs that have seen better days. The kitchen is always a bit loud with the sound of the stove and the clanking of pans. It gets pretty hot back there, especially during the lunch rush. We don't have a huge menu, just the things we know how to make well. I spend a lot of my time checking the ingredients and making sure we haven't run out of anything. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and I have to scramble, which is stressful but that’s just how it goes. The floor gets a bit greasy by the end of the night, so we have to scrub it down every day. It’s hard work and my back usually aches by the time I go home. But I like seeing people sit down and actually enjoy the food. We get a mix of students and office workers who are just looking for a quick meal. I try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long for their plate.
