Digambar Hall & Lawns

Digambar Hall & Lawns is situated right on the Kothrud Link Road, directly across from More Vidyalaya. It’s a place that has been part of the neighborhood for some time now. We have the indoor hall area and then the open lawn space outside. Most of our days are spent checking the lights, making sure the grass is watered, and keeping the floors swept. When there’s a function happening, the whole place changes, but on regular days, it’s just us doing maintenance work. Being near the school means there’s always a lot of noise and activity during the day with kids and buses everywhere. We have to coordinate things quite a bit when people are moving stuff in or out for an event. It is a local business, so we do most of the management ourselves without any big office team. We just take bookings and make sure the gates are open when they need to be. The parking area needs a lot of attention too, especially when it rains. People in Kothrud know where we are because of the landmark across the street. We don’t do much shouting about what we have here. It is just a space for people to use when they have something going on. We keep the gates locked when nothing is scheduled and spend that time fixing whatever broke during the last gathering. It’s a lot of physical work to keep the lawns looking okay.
