Our business, Dhanlaxmi Company, is situated in the heart of Shukrawar Peth at 1523. We are right opposite Bhutkar House, which is a well-known spot in this part of town. Shukrawar Peth is one of the older areas, so the lanes are a bit narrow and the buildings have a lot of character. We have been operating here for years, and the shop itself feels like it has a lot of history. We don't go for anything fancy; the walls are a bit plain and the furniture is old, but it serves our purpose perfectly. Most of our day is spent dealing with customers who have been coming to us for a long time. Being across from Bhutkar House makes it easy for people to find us, even if they aren't from this neighborhood. The traffic outside is always a bit of a mess, especially in the evenings, but we don't mind the noise much anymore. We handle various trading and business activities, and there’s always a lot of paperwork on the desk. It’s a very traditional way of working, with ledgers and physical records rather than everything being on a screen. We enjoy the routine of opening up the shop in the morning and seeing the same street vendors setting up their stalls. It’s a solid, reliable place and we take pride in being a part of the long-standing business community here in the Peth area.
