Deepa Lodge

If you are looking for us, we are right at 723 Laxmi Road in Nana Peth. It’s a very busy part of Pune, especially with the 26th Main Road being right there. We are directly opposite Alpana Theatre, so there is always some noise and people moving about. The lodge has been here for years. I spend most of my day behind the small desk at the entrance, checking people in and out. Sometimes the plumbing in these old buildings acts up, so you might see a bucket in the hallway if a pipe is being fixed. It’s a practical place for workers coming into the city or families visiting relatives nearby. We get a lot of regulars who know exactly which room they like. The street outside is never quiet, and the smell of street food usually drifts in through the windows. It’s not a holiday resort, just a basic lodge in the middle of a very crowded market area. We keep things honest and straightforward here. Most people stay for a day or two and move on. It’s a simple life running a place like this in Nana Peth, and the old walls have seen a lot of guests come and go.
