We are situated in Shivaji Nagar, specifically on the 2nd Cross, 1st Main. Our little shop is all about corn. We have the big steamers where the cobs sit and get soft. You can see the steam rising whenever we open the lids. We spend the day shucking corn and getting the kernels ready. We have various powders and butter on the side to mix in. The space is small, so it gets a bit cramped when three or four people are waiting. It’s a simple setup with a few counters and some storage for the bags of raw corn. We get a lot of people walking by from the main road who stop for a quick cup. The smell of boiled corn is quite strong around our corner. We use a lot of disposable cups and little spoons. Sometimes we run out of a certain spice and have to run to the market nearby. It’s a very hands-on job. We have to be careful with the hot water and the steam. The 1133/5/6 address is where we’ve been for a bit now. We don't have much in the way of seating, just a place to stand. It’s mostly about serving the corn while it’s still hot. We just keep the burners going and try to keep up with the evening crowd.
