Our office is in room 330 of the Sterling Centre on Mahatma Gandhi Road. Being in the Camp area means there is always a lot going on right outside our door. The building is one of those older commercial centers with lots of different businesses tucked into every floor. We are on the third floor, so we use the elevator or the stairs depending on how much of a hurry we are in. Our space is filled with clipboards, schedules, and some cleaning supplies tucked in the corners. We deal with facility stuff, so our phones ring quite a bit with people needing things fixed or cleaned. It’s not a quiet library type of office. There is usually someone coming in or going out to a job site. The desks are often cluttered with invoices and notes written on scraps of paper. We have a small kettle for tea, and that’s about as fancy as it gets. Most of us have been working in this field for years, so we just know what needs to be done without talking about it too much. The Camp area is great because we can find anything we need just by walking down the street. It’s a busy, practical place to run a business, and we fit right in with the other shops and offices in the building.
