Chawadi Restaurant

Chawadi Restaurant is tucked away at 523 B in Narayan Peth. We are very close to the Modi Ganpati temple, which is a well-known landmark in this part of Pune. The neighborhood is full of old buildings and narrow lanes. Our place is small and we’ve tried to keep it feeling like the rest of the area. We have been serving the people of 411030 for some time. We don't use any modern gadgets to cook; it's mostly traditional methods. The seating is a bit tight, especially when the college students come in groups. We don't have air conditioning, just the ceiling fans that have been there for years. They make a bit of a clicking sound. The menu has the usual things that people in Narayan Peth expect. We don't try to experiment with fusion food or anything like that. We just stick to what we know. My family helps out with the accounts and the vegetable shopping. Sometimes the market doesn't have what we need, so we just tell the customers we are out of that dish. They usually don't mind. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, despite being in a busy part of the city. We open our doors in the morning and close once the last customer finishes their dinner. It’s a quiet life, mostly. We just enjoy seeing the regulars come back day after day. The entrance is a bit narrow, so you have to watch your step when you come inside.
