Chavan K Brothers Decorators

Chavan K Brothers Decorators is based in Dhayari at number 1151. Our place is more of a warehouse than a shop because we have so much stuff for events. We have stacks of chairs, folded tents, and rolls of fabric in different colors. Most of our work happens outside at different venues, so the shop is often just a place to load and unload the trucks. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and we usually have grease or dust on our clothes from moving the metal frames around. We spend a lot of time checking the lights and making sure the decorations aren't torn or stained from the last job. When there’s a wedding or a big party, we’re up very early and get back very late. The office part of the warehouse is just a small corner with a table and a few folders where we keep the bookings. It’s not very organized to look at, but we know where everything is. The neighbors in Dhayari are used to seeing us hauling things out to the street. Sometimes we have to repair the wooden stages or repaint some of the props we use. It’s hard work and it’s always physical, but it’s what we’ve been doing as brothers for a long time. We don't have a fancy showroom, just the equipment and the space to keep it all. People usually just call us or come by to see what kind of setups we have available for their dates.
