Chaitanya Food Products

Chaitanya Food Products is located over at Kothrud 26. It is just a plain building where we spend our days making various food items. We aren't some big brand you see on TV, just a local spot where we try to make things the way people like them. Kothrud is a busy place and we have seen a lot of changes over the years but we stay here and keep doing our thing. The work is mostly manual, so our hands are always busy with something. Whether it is sorting out grains or packing things into containers, there is always a task waiting. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few dedicated people who have been with us for a while. Sometimes the equipment acts up and we have to fix it ourselves. It's not glamorous work and we don't pretend it is. Most of our day is spent making sure the batches turn out okay. No fancy words are needed to describe what we do. It’s just food, made here in our small unit. People stop by sometimes to ask what we are making because they can smell it from the street. We give them a nod and get back to work. It keeps us busy from morning until late evening. Every day is pretty much the same, but that’s fine by us. The goal is simply to finish the next batch and get the labels on straight before we finish. Then we start over again the next day.
