Cafe Yezdan

If you are in the Camp area of Pune, you’ve probably walked past us a few times. Cafe Yezdan is at S No 623 on Sachapir Street. We are right by Sharbatwalla Chowk, which is a place that’s always full of life and noise. This part of Pune has so much history, and we feel like we are just a small part of that story. Our building is old, and you can see it in the walls and the floors, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We aren't one of those new, shiny cafes with air conditioning and glass walls. We are a traditional spot where the doors are always open to the street. It gets dusty and loud because of the traffic at the chowk, but that is just how it is in Camp. We’ve been here for years, and we see the same people every single morning. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we don't have any interest in being a big chain. We just focus on keeping the tea hot and the snacks ready. Sometimes the place gets so crowded that people have to share tables, but nobody seems to mind much. It’s an honest, slightly messy, and very real part of the city. If you find yourself at Sharbatwalla Chowk, just look for the old sign on Sachapir Street. We’ll be here like we always are, just doing our daily work. It’s a place that hasn't changed much in a long time, and that suits us just fine.
