Blue Bird Restaurant & Bar

Our spot is over at 508 Rasta Peth in Pune. We are right near the old Apollo Theatre, which most people around here know. Blue Bird is a restaurant and a bar, so we get a real mix of people. In the afternoons, it’s mostly folks coming in for a quick meal, and then in the evenings, it gets a bit louder with the bar crowd. It’s a bit of an old-school spot. We haven't changed much over the years. The furniture has some wear on it, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. We’ve got some regulars who have been coming here since we opened. They usually sit in the same spots and order the same drinks. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of shops around, so there’s always something happening outside the door. We spend our time pouring drinks, taking orders, and clearing away glasses. It’s not a quiet job, especially on weekends when things pick up. We don't have any fancy gimmicks or anything. It's just a place to sit down, have a drink, and maybe some food. We just try to keep things moving and make sure everyone pays their tab before they leave. Sometimes the kitchen gets backed up when a big group comes in, but we just do what we can.
