Bhavana Stationery & Travels

We run Bhavana Stationery & Travels over at Camp 505. It’s a bit of an unusual mix, selling pens and notebooks while also booking trips, but it works for us. My wife handles most of the stationery side of things and I take care of the travel. It makes for a busy day, especially when school starts and everyone needs supplies. Camp is a lively area and being at 505 puts us right in the middle of things. We have shelves full of paper and pens on one side and my desk with the computer on the other. It’s not a large place, so it feels a bit cramped sometimes when there are more than three customers. We don’t mind though. It feels like a real community hub. People come in for a pen and end up asking about a bus ticket. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people who walk through the door by name. It’s a humble business, nothing corporate about it. We just try to keep the stock updated and the travel bookings accurate. Some days are slow, and we just sit and chat with the neighbors. Other days, we can barely keep up. That’s just the way it goes at Camp 505. We like the variety of work we do here. It keeps life interesting when you're doing two things at once in the same little shop.
