Berry Bash

Berry Bash is over on Fergusson College Road, right near the I T P L Main Road area. It’s a lively spot because of all the students and young people walking around FC Road all the time. We wanted to do something with fruit and sweets, so that is what we do here. The shop isn't very large, so it can feel a bit tight when a group of friends comes in all at once. We spend a lot of time washing berries and cutting up fruit in the back room. Sometimes the deliveries are late and we have to wait around before we can start prepping. We try to keep the place looking decent, but with so many people coming in and out, the floor gets dirty fast. We don't have a lot of staff, so everyone does a bit of everything, from taking orders to cleaning the blenders. The noise from the street is always there in the background. We have a few small tables but most people just take their stuff and walk around the shops nearby. It gets especially busy in the evenings when the street lights come on. We aren't part of some big chain or anything. It is just us trying to make something that tastes good. We keep the fridge stocked and hope the power stays on during the summer. We are usually here until late at night.
