Basement Inn

Our place, Basement Inn, is located in Sant Tukaram Nagar, over in the Mahesh Nagar area of Pimpri. This part of town is always moving because of all the factories and offices nearby. The inn is not a luxury hotel; it is just a basic place where you can get a room or a hot meal. I spend a lot of my time taking care of the building, like fixing a leaky tap or checking the lights. The street outside is usually full of trucks and bikes, especially when the work shifts change. We have a small dining area with simple furniture that has seen a lot of use over the years. We don't have a big team, just a couple of local guys who help me keep the place running. The food we serve is just regular home-style cooking that we make for ourselves too. There are no fancy garnishes, just food served on plain plates. People stay with us when they have business in the industrial zone and just need a place to sleep. Our lobby is just a small desk with a chair and a register book. It can get a bit loud at night with the traffic from the main road, but you get used to it after a while. We’ve been in this spot for several years and know most of the people who work on this street. It’s a practical business for a practical part of town.
