Bappa Morya Phataka Mart

Bappa Morya Phataka Mart is tucked into the ground floor of Shriram Apartments on S L Byrappa Road. We are at Survey No 845 in Guruwar Peth, right at the 3rd Cross. It is a very busy neighborhood, especially since we are so close to the Panch Haud Tower and the Ram Mandir. You can hear the temple bells from the shop when things are quiet, though things aren't often quiet around here. Being a firecracker mart, our space is mostly filled with boxes and inventory stacked up high. We have to be very careful with how everything is stored, so the shop is organized in a very specific way. During the festival seasons, it gets incredibly crowded on these streets and inside the mart too. People come from all over the area because they know the landmarks nearby. We spend a lot of time counting stock and making sure everything is ready for the rush. The apartment building is a bit old, and the 3rd Cross can be a tight squeeze for larger vehicles, but we make it work. It is just a local shop run by people who live nearby. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that, just the shop and the items we sell. When the sun goes down, the area around the tower looks quite nice. We’ve been here for years and know most of the people on this road. It's a traditional part of the city and we fit right in.
