Balaji Wafers

If you find yourself near the Ganesh Temple in Papalwadi, you are pretty close to where we work. Balaji Wafers is based out here in the Chaskaman area of Rajgurunagar. It’s a rural spot, and we like it that way. We spend our time making and packing snacks for the stores nearby. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a practical place for our machines and the bags. We deal with the Khed taluka mostly. Dealing with potatoes and oil all day can be messy, but it’s what we do. The temple is a good landmark for people trying to find us since the roads around Papalwadi can get a bit confusing for outsiders. We started small and stayed that way, focusing on what needs to get done each morning. The staff is mostly local folks who walk or bike over. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us making wafers and making sure they get delivered before they go stale. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait, but that’s just life in the village. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a batch isn't right, we fix it. There isn't much more to say about it. We are just a group of people working near the Chaskaman dam area, trying to keep the business going one day at a time.
