The bags are heavy, and the dust from the grain stays in your clothes all day. Being in Market Yard 41337 means there is always noise outside. Trucks coming in, people shouting prices, and the constant movement of carts. Balaji Grains House is right in the middle of that. We start early, usually before most people are even awake, to get the stock ready. It’s mostly about moving sacks from one corner to the other. You see a lot of different people here. Some want just a small bag of rice, others are looking for enough wheat to last a month. We weigh everything out on the scale, make sure the bag is tied tight, and pass it over. It’s repetitive work, but it’s what we do. The floor is always covered in a thin layer of husk and flour. We sweep it up, but by noon, it’s back again. There isn't much time for sitting down. My back gets a bit sore by evening, but that’s part of the trade. Market Yard is a fast place. If you aren't moving, you're in someone's way. We don't have a big office or anything like that.
