Kondhwa Khurd is where we call home. We have been running Annapurna Caterers And Decorators from this neighborhood for a good while now. It is a mix of two different worlds here. One half of our day is spent dealing with food, and the other half is spent with fabrics, flowers, and lights. It can get pretty chaotic when we have several events on the same weekend. Our storage space is filled with stacks of chairs and rolls of colorful cloth. We do not have a fancy showroom, so when people want to talk to us, they usually just come by the workshop. We might be sitting around a table covered in fabric samples while someone else is checking on a delivery of vegetables. That is just the way it goes. Kondhwa Khurd has its own energy, and we are a part of that. We do not have a big corporate structure. It is just a handful of us trying to make sure the decorations look nice and the food tastes like home. We have learned over the years that things rarely go exactly as planned, so we have become good at fixing problems on the fly. Whether it is a torn curtain or a late delivery, we just handle it. People in the area know us, and that is how we get most of our work. We often have bits of thread or glitter stuck to our clothes.
