Anjali Food is our little place situated at Khadakwasla 78/1. It is a simple setup where we focus on cooking and serving food to whoever stops by. Being out near Khadakwasla, we get a mix of people, from locals who live in the area to people who are just driving through for the weekend. The kitchen area is where we spend most of our time, prepping vegetables and getting the stove going. There’s usually a lot of steam and the sound of pans clanking. We have some basic tables and chairs set out for people to sit and eat. It isn't a fancy restaurant with waiters or anything like that; it’s more of a home-style place. We cook what we know, and we serve it on plain plates. We start our day quite early to make sure the ingredients are fresh and ready for the lunch crowd. The afternoons can get quite hot, so we have a few fans blowing to keep the air moving. We spend our breaks sitting outside when it’s quiet. We don't have a big menu, just a few things that we make every day. The walls are painted a simple color and we have a sink in the corner for people to wash their hands. It’s a straightforward business, and we just try to keep the food ready and the place tidy for the next person who is hungry. That is the whole story of our shop.
