Anitha Oil Mills

Our mill is located at 1/37 B on the Mumbai Pune Road in Yeshwantpur. We are right near the Fire Office, so we hear the sirens every now and then. The smell of the oil we press is very strong, and you can usually catch a whiff of it before you even reach our door. We’ve been doing this for a long time, using the same old machines. It is a noisy and messy process. The floor gets greasy and we have to be careful not to slip when we are moving the heavy sacks around. We don't have a fancy storefront. It’s just the mill where the work happens and a small counter where we sell the oil. Most of our customers are locals who bring their own containers or have been buying from us for years. Yeshwantpur is a very busy area with a lot of trucks and traffic on the Mumbai Pune Road. It’s not a quiet place to work, but we are used to it. We are a small family-run operation. We don't have a marketing department or a fancy brand. We just focus on getting the oil pressed and ready for whoever needs it. Some days the machines act up and we have to spend hours getting them back in order. It’s hard, physical work and we’re usually covered in oil by the end of the shift. We don't have any big plans for expansion. We just want to keep the mill running and do what we do.
