Aniket Foods

Aniket Foods is located at 302, Navi Peth. It is right near the Vitthal Mandir, so we hear the bells and the people passing by all day long. The building is an older one and we have been in this spot for some time. It is a busy area, especially during the festivals when the temple gets crowded. We spend most of our time inside the shop handling the food items. It is a lot of lifting and sorting. My hands are usually busy with something. We do not have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything is in its place. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late because the lane is narrow and trucks have a hard time getting through. We just deal with it as it comes. The space inside is a bit tight, but we have figured out how to fit everything on the shelves. It gets a bit warm in the afternoons, so we usually keep the door open. You can see the temple from our front step. Most of the people who come in are regulars from around Navi Peth. We know their faces and they know ours. It is not a corporate kind of place. We just open up in the morning, do the work, and close when we are done. There is always cleaning to do before we head home. It is a simple life here and we like it that way.
