Padma Travels

If you’ve spent any time on Airport Road, you might have seen Padma Travels. We’ve been based here for a long time, right where all the action is near the terminal. We run a travel business, which mostly means we spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at schedules. We have cars and drivers, and our days are basically timed by flight arrivals and departures. It’s a bit of a hectic life sometimes. Traffic on Airport Road can be a nightmare, but we’ve learned all the shortcuts over the years. We don't have a polished office with leather chairs. It’s a functional space where we keep our keys and logs. We handle bookings for people going on trips or coming into the city for work. It’s simple work but it keeps us on our toes. We aren't trying to be the biggest agency in the city. We just want to make sure the car shows up when it’s supposed to. Sometimes a driver gets stuck or a flight is late, and we just have to deal with it as it happens. We talk to all kinds of people, from locals to tourists who are a bit lost. We keep things pretty casual here. There’s usually a pot of tea going. We just do our best to keep the wheels turning and help people get where they need to go. It’s been our livelihood for years, and we just keep it moving one trip at a time.
