G B International School

G B International School is located on Patiala Road in the Patiala district. The road is always busy with buses and trucks going by, so there is usually a bit of a rumble in the background. We have a gate and a boundary wall to keep things safe and a bit quieter for the students. The building is a plain concrete structure, painted in a light color that’s faded a bit over the years. Inside, the hallways are wide and the classrooms have big windows to let in the light. We don't have any of those modern glass buildings you see in the city. It’s just brick and mortar. The staff usually gets here around eight to get things ready before the yellow buses start arriving. We have a small patch of grass in the front that we try to keep green, but it’s hard in the dry season. The kids bring their lunch boxes and eat together under the trees if the weather is nice. We spend a lot of time making sure the registers are filled out and the lessons are done. It’s not a fancy place, but it works for the families around here. Patiala Road is a long stretch, and we are just one of the landmarks people use when giving directions. We keep the fans running and the chalkboards clean. It is just a normal school day for us.
