Barkley College

Barkley College is out on the Chuura Sanour Road in Patiala. It’s located a bit away from the main hustle of the city center, which gives it a slightly different feel. The road can be a bit rough in patches, but it’s the main way for students coming in from the surrounding areas. The college itself is a straightforward building. We don’t have much in the way of fancy landscaping, just the necessary space for students to attend their lectures and get their work done. The office is usually where you’ll find the staff sorting out the daily logs and student records. It’s a very hands-on place. We see a lot of students who are trying to balance their studies with helping out at home or working small jobs. Because of that, the atmosphere is quite practical and serious. In the winter, the fog around Patiala can be quite thick, so mornings often start a bit slower until the sun comes out. We have the basic facilities that a student needs—classrooms, some lab space, and a place to sit during breaks. We don’t make big claims about being the best; we just provide a place where the locals can come and get their degrees without having to travel too far. It’s a quiet part of the outskirts, and we’ve become a regular fixture on Sanour Road for the people living nearby. It’s just a normal college doing normal things every day.
