Bhai Gurdas Polytechnic College

Bhai Gurdas Polytechnic College is located over at Dukhniwaran Colony in Patiala. It’s a place where we focus on practical skills for the students who come through our doors. You’ll find us at address 277, where Jasvinder Kaur and the rest of the staff keep things running. It’s not like those big corporate universities you see on TV. We’re much more grounded and local. The students come from all over the surrounding area, looking to learn a trade or get some technical knowledge so they can find work. The halls are usually full of noise, students talking about their classes or their upcoming exams. We’ve got a lot of history here in Patiala, and the colony is a familiar place for many of us who live nearby. We don't spend much on fancy brochures. We just show up, do the teaching, and help the kids get through their courses. It’s a lot of paperwork and managing schedules, but that’s just how a college runs on the inside. We see different faces every year, some coming in very young and leaving ready for a real job. It’s a steady pace of life. We deal with the daily issues like any other place—fixing things that break and making sure the classes happen on time. It’s about giving the local youth a place to go and learn something useful without making it more complicated than it needs to be. We are just a part of the Patiala community.
