Kendriya Vidyalaya

Our school is situated within the Pathankot Air Force Station area in Bungal. Being on a military base gives the place a very specific feel. It’s quiet and very orderly compared to the main parts of Pathankot city. You can often hear the sound of aircraft in the distance, which is just part of the background noise for us. The school building is a typical government structure—very functional, with long corridors and large classrooms. We have a good amount of green space around us, which is nice for the students when they go outside for their breaks. The children here come from all over, mostly families connected to the station, so there’s a real mix of backgrounds. We don't have any flashy lobby or expensive furniture. It’s all about the basics: desks, benches, and a lot of books. The staff keeps things running on a tight schedule, but it still feels like a community. We deal with the usual daily issues, like a jammed locker or a projector that won’t turn on when it’s supposed to. Life here is pretty steady. We focus on the lessons and making sure the students are prepared for their tests. It’s a simple environment without any unnecessary frills. Most people know us as just the KV on the base. We’ve been here serving the families of Pathankot for a long time, doing our part every single day.
