Srb International School

Out here in Gharota Kalan, things are a bit quieter than in the middle of Pathankot. Srb International School sits on Dhangu Road, and it’s a familiar spot for anyone living in this part of the 145001 area. The drive out here is usually okay, though the road gets its share of potholes after the rainy season. Our school building is pretty straightforward. We have the usual rows of classrooms and a bit of space for the kids to play during their breaks. It isn't a place with a lot of bells and whistles. Most of our day is spent just making sure the kids are actually sitting down and looking at their notebooks. The staff room is always a bit cluttered with papers and tea mugs, which is how you know people are actually working. We don't really have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. We just rely on word of mouth from the parents who live nearby. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to open all the windows to catch a breeze, but that's just life in Pathankot. The kids don't seem to mind much as long as they get to see their friends. We just try to provide a steady place for them to learn their basics. It's a plain, honest sort of school where we do the work and go home.
