Goverment Elementary School

This is the Goverment Elementary School located in Nangal. We are right here in the Pathankot district with the pin code 145001. Being a government school means we follow the official rules and get kids from all over the local neighborhood. The building is simple and has been around for quite a few years. We have a few rooms where the different grades sit together. It’s not always quiet, especially when the younger ones are playing outside. We have a small playground that gets a lot of use. The teachers here work hard to keep everything organized, even when we are short on supplies. We deal with the government forms and the midday meal programs every day. It’s a lot of logistics. In the mornings, you can see the students in their uniforms walking along the roads of Nangal to get here. We open the gates early and stay until the last child is picked up or walks home. Pathankot can get chilly in the winter, so we all bundle up in the classrooms. We don't have fancy heaters or anything. It’s just a basic school for the community. We focus on the ABCs and 123s. Most of us have been working here for a long time and we know the locals well. It’s just a steady, everyday kind of place for the children to get their start.
