If you go down towards Surajpole, you’ll find us there. We specialize in batteries, mostly for vehicles but also for other things like inverters. It’s a specialized kind of work, dealing with acids and lead and heavy casings. The shop is filled with rows of batteries, some new and some old ones waiting to be recycled or fixed. It can get a bit smelly because of the chemicals, but you get used to it after a few days. We spend our time testing voltages and cleaning terminals. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving those heavy blocks around all day. We aren't a big corporation, just a local workshop where we take things one job at a time. When someone’s car won’t start, they usually bring the battery to us, and we see if it can be saved or if they need a new one. We try to be honest about it because there’s no point in lying in a small community. People talk, and if you do a bad job, everyone knows. We’ve had this spot at Surajpole for a long time, and we’ve seen the area change quite a bit. But cars still need batteries, so we stay busy. We don’t have any fancy waiting room, just a couple of chairs if you want to wait while we check your unit. It’s just us, doing our work and trying to earn a decent living by keeping the power running.
