J K Battery is situated right on N H 14 in Sojat City. Being on the highway means we get a lot of trucks and cars stopping by when their batteries give up. We deal with all sorts of batteries, whether it’s for a small scooter or a heavy-duty transport vehicle. We also handle inverter batteries for homes because the power goes out quite often around here. The shop is mostly just stacks of heavy black boxes and the smell of acid and lead. It’s a messy business but it’s necessary. I’ve been working with these things for a long time so I can usually tell what’s wrong just by looking at the terminals. We do some charging and repairs too, not just selling new ones. If a traveler gets stuck on the highway near Sojat, they usually find their way to us. The sun gets really hot on N H 14 so we keep a bench outside for people to sit while we test their equipment. It isn't a glamorous job and my hands are usually stained with grease or dust.
