Out here in Mire Thane, things are a bit more industrial. We are located in the Priyesh Industrial Estate, which is on Penkar Pada. It is tucked away behind Hotel Ajit Palace. If you aren't looking for it, you might drive right past the turn. The estate is full of other small factories and workshops, so there is always the sound of metal or engines in the background. At Shihisha Engineering, our day starts early before it gets too hot. The workshop floor is concrete and can get pretty dusty by the end of the week. We deal with various engineering parts and projects that come our way. Most of the time we are wearing overalls and checking measurements on old desks. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit. We have some heavy machinery that takes up most of the space. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic in Kashimira, which is always a mess. We just take it as it comes. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten quickly so we can get back to work. There is always something that needs fixing or a part that needs to be cleaned. We aren't a big corporation, just a private limited setup trying to stay busy and do the job right. It’s hard work and your hands get dirty, but that’s what engineering is really about for us here in Thane. We try to keep things moving despite the heat and the noise.
