Ambika Gears

We have been running things here at Mahavir Industrial Estate for quite a long time now. Our shop is at Gala No. 5, which is right across from the Raghu Hotel. If you are coming from the railway station at Vasai Road East, it is just a short walk over to where we are. It is a busy neighborhood with a lot of noise and people moving about. We focus on gears every single day. The machines are old but they still get the job done properly. It is usually pretty loud inside when we are working on a big order. We don't have a fancy office or a place for people to sit and wait. Most of our customers just drop off their parts and come back later. We spend most of our time standing at the lathes or cleaning up metal shavings from the floor. It is dusty work and our hands are usually covered in oil by noon. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Most people find us because they saw our sign or heard about us from someone else in the estate. We just try to get the teeth on the gears right. It is a simple life but it keeps us busy. Sometimes we grab a quick tea from the hotel across the street when things slow down. We just focus on the task at hand and don't worry about much else.
