Our place is at Madhumanhal Niwas, which is quite close to Ghotnicho Whal in Cucholim. Mapusa is always a busy town, but our corner in Cucholim stays a bit more grounded. We have been doing catering from this spot for some time now. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so everyone ends up helping out when a big order comes in. The kitchen at Madhumanhal Niwas is where everything happens. We spend our mornings getting fresh stuff from the Mapusa market, which is not too far away. You can’t really do catering without being organized, so the walls are usually covered in notes and dates. The area near Ghotnicho Whal is familiar to most people around here. We don't have any big signs or fancy lights. It’s just a workspace. When the stoves are all on, the whole place smells like whatever we are cooking that day. Sometimes it’s spices, sometimes it’s rice. We just keep our heads down and work. The neighbors know us well by now. We handle everything from small family gatherings to bigger things where we need every bit of space we have. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady. We just make sure the food is ready and the containers are clean. If you are looking for us, just ask for the house near the Whal. There is usually someone around the yard or in the kitchen from early morning until late evening. It is just our way of life here.
