Bhagyashree Caterers

We are based at Madhumangal Niwas, which is quite close to the Ghotnicho Whal in Mapusa. Most people around here know the landmark, so it’s easy to find us. Bhagyashree Caterers is really a family-run thing. We do a lot of our preparation right here at home before taking everything to the event venue. Mapusa is a lively town and we have been serving the people here for many years. Our kitchen is always busy with the smell of spices and fresh ingredients. We don't have a big corporate office or a team of salesmen. It’s usually just us talking to the neighbors or friends who need food for a puja or a birthday party. We use big pots and heavy ladles that have been in the family for a long time. Sometimes the rain in Goa makes things difficult, especially when we are trying to load the food into the cars, but we manage. We aren't interested in being a huge company. We just like cooking for people we know and making sure they have enough to eat. It’s a simple way to earn a living. The work is hard on the hands and we spend a lot of time cleaning up after a big job is done. But seeing a clean plate at the end of the day makes it feel okay. We just keep working and taking orders as they come in.
