Colva Beach Road is usually packed with people, so being here opposite the fish market means there's never a quiet moment during the day. At Korean Cafe, we mostly focus on getting the food out to people who are either heading to the beach or coming back from it. The humidity here in Colva is no joke, so we spend a lot of time trying to keep the kitchen from getting too hot while we cook. It’s not a big fancy establishment, just a place where you can sit down for a bit and relax. We get a lot of tourists asking for directions to the water, but our regulars are the ones who live nearby. The fish market across the street is a hub of activity every morning, so we see the catch coming in while we’re setting up the chairs and tables. Sometimes the road gets blocked by a stray cow or a big tour bus, and we just watch the chaos from the window. The menu is simple enough for us to handle. We don't try to do too much or get too complicated. Just cooking and cleaning, day in and day out. Sometimes the rain comes down so hard we have to pull everything inside real quick before it gets soaked. It’s a good spot, though. You see a bit of everything on this road if you sit long enough. We’ve been here long enough that the local taxi drivers stop by for a chat.
