Timsy Jai Mala Store

Our little shop is over in New Friends Colony, specifically at Block C, 780. We deal with Jai Malas and all those other things people need for their wedding ceremonies. The place is usually full of the strong smell of fresh roses and jasmine along with colored threads. We spend hours sitting on the floor and putting these things together by hand. It’s quiet work, mostly. We have been in this block for quite a long while now. Neighbors often stop by just to chat for a minute. It’s a nice area, usually peaceful compared to the big main markets. We have a few helpers who are very good with their hands and can work fast when needed. Sometimes we have to stay up very late or come in early when there are a lot of weddings happening in one single week. The floors often get covered in flower petals and little bits of gold string. We just sweep it all up at the end of the day. We don't have a website or any fancy marketing. People just come to C 780 when they know they need something for a family function. It’s a family-run thing. We like seeing the families come in all happy and excited for the weddings. It makes the long hours and the tired eyes feel okay. We’ve got our regular spot here and we don’t really plan on moving anywhere else. It is just a simple, honest shop.
