Amit Crafts is down in Gali Taksalian Khurd. For a while now, we’ve been at number 2927. It's a small place but we keep busy. Sorting through different materials and getting things ready for people who stop by takes up most of our days. In the afternoons, especially when deliveries arrive, the lane gets a bit crowded. Our setup isn't much to look at. Mostly, it's just workbenches and shelves full of stuff we use for making things. Lighting in here isn't always great, but we know where every tool is kept. If you get lost in the alleys, people usually find us by asking around the neighborhood. We mostly stick to our own routine. It starts early and ends when the sun goes down or when the tea runs out. There's always a bit of dust from the wood or the fabrics, but that’s just how it is. We like the quiet moments when the street outside finally settles down. My nephew helps out on weekends. He’s still learning but he’s getting better at handling the heavier tools. We don’t really do any advertising at all. Most folk just know us from being in this spot for so long. It’s a simple life. We make things, talk to the neighbors, and try to keep the shop organized, even if it doesn't always look like it to an outsider. If you’re ever near Gali Taksalian Khurd, you might see us sitting by the door during a tea break.
