Shri Shyam Emporium

Shri Shyam Emporium is right here in Chandni Chowk. If you know this part of Delhi, you know how it gets. We are situated at 4916/8, right opposite the Krishna Cloth Market inside Shri Shyam Market. It is usually crowded outside from morning until the evening. Sometimes the rickshaws block the whole lane and it takes a long time just to get to the door. We have been here for a good amount of time now. Most people find us because they are already shopping for fabric across the street. It is not a very big space, but we make it work. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint soon, but we are always too busy to get to it. We spend most of our day dealing with the heat and the noise from the main market area. It’s just how things are in this part of town. People come in and out, asking for things, and we just go about our business. There is no fancy sign or anything like that, just the name on the board. Finding 4916/8 is easier if you just look for the landmark across from us. The market life is tiring but this is where we stay. We open up early and stay until the shutters go down at night. It’s a simple setup. Nothing too special to look at, just a regular shop in a very busy spot. We just keep at it every day.
