If you walk down the lanes of Chawri Bazar, you know how busy it gets, especially near Chakhewalan 3797 where Rajendra Cards & Arts is located. We spend most of our days surrounded by different types of paper and the constant sound of printing machines. People come to us when they have a wedding or a big function in the family. It is usually a bit chaotic in the shop with samples spread out everywhere and customers trying to decide between gold foil or simple ink. We don’t have a fancy showroom, just a lot of card stocks and printing plates stacked up. Most of the time, our hands are stained with some sort of ink because there is always something being run on the press. It’s hard work getting the alignment just right on those traditional invites, but we’ve been doing it at this spot for a long time now. We just handle the cards and the printing work as it comes. Some days are quieter than others, but during the main wedding seasons, it’s hard to even find a place to sit. We try to keep things moving so people get their packets on time. It isn’t anything glamorous, just a lot of paper, glue, and staying late to finish up the bundles for the next morning delivery.
