Raj Kumar Mittal

Located over at 474 in the Tis Hazari Eastern Wing, this is where I spend most of my days. It’s a hectic place because of the courts and all the people moving around constantly. I have been based here for a good number of years now. Most of the time, I am just dealing with paperwork or meeting folks who have questions about their legal matters. The office is a bit small and it gets crowded with all the files stacked up on the shelves. You know how it is in Tis Hazari, there is always noise from the hallways and people rushing to get to their hearings. I try to keep things simple and just tell people what they need to know without making it too complicated. It’s a lot of reading and writing. Sometimes I grab a quick lunch from the stalls nearby when I have a break. My desk is usually a bit of a mess but I know where everything is. People come here when they are stressed out and I just listen to what’s going on with them. It’s not a glamorous job but it is important to get the details right. I have lived and worked in this area for a long time so I am used to the pace. It’s just me and a little bit of help here and there. That’s how we keep things running.
